Catharine Lumby is a writer, an academic and also claims to be a Professor at the University of Sydney. In the 1980s, she wrote appalling pretentious things about contemporary art in postmodernist language. She is deeply sorry for that but she feels redeemed by her love of Stuart Spence's brilliant work.
